Tile we install
We install porcelain, ceramic and natural stone tile in kitchens, bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms and entryways. Large-format tiles (24" x 24", 24" x 48" and bigger) and wood-look porcelain planks are especially popular right now.
What's under the tile matters
Cracked tile and grout usually come from movement underneath. Before installing, we make sure the subfloor is stiff and flat enough for your tile size, then install the right underlayment — cement board or an uncoupling membrane — to protect your investment.
- Subfloor deflection and flatness checks
- Uncoupling membranes or cement board as appropriate
- Leveling systems for large-format tile to minimize lippage
- Proper thinset coverage and back-buttering
- Grout and sealing appropriate to the material
Layout and details
Good tile work looks effortless. We plan the layout so cuts are balanced at doorways and focal walls, grout lines stay straight from room to room, and patterns like offset planks or herringbone look intentional. Transitions to wood, LVP or carpet are clean and level.
If you're also updating a bathroom, we're happy to coordinate with your plumber or contractor so the floor is done at the right moment in the project.
Honest recommendations
Sometimes the tile you love isn't the best fit for the space — for example, polished stone in a busy mudroom. We'll tell you honestly and offer alternatives with a similar look that will hold up better.
