Where laminate shines
Laminate has a hard, wear-resistant top layer that handles dog nails, chair legs and everyday traffic very well — often better than real wood. It's a smart pick for bedrooms, living rooms, offices and upstairs areas.
Many newer laminate lines are water-resistant, with sealed edges and tight joints that resist spills for a period of time. We'll help you choose a product that fits the room.
Installed the right way
Laminate is a floating floor, which means preparation and detail work decide how it feels and sounds. Our process includes:
- Leveling the subfloor so planks don't flex or click
- Quality underlayment for sound and comfort
- Undercutting door jambs for a clean, tight fit
- Correct expansion gaps hidden under baseboards
- Matching transitions and stair parts
Laminate vs. LVP
Both are great floors. Laminate typically wins on scratch resistance and feels more like wood underfoot; LVP wins on waterproofing. For kitchens, baths and basements we usually recommend LVP; for bedrooms and living areas, laminate is often an excellent value. We'll bring samples of both so you can compare side by side.
Clean, respectful work
We protect your walls and walkways, keep our cutting station outside or in the garage when possible, and clean up every day. When we're done, we'll walk the floor with you and explain simple care tips to keep it looking great.
